Prospect ID Clinics
COVID 19- Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our participants, coaches, and all involved.
With the information provided from the NC Department of Health and Human Services regarding camp guidelines as well as the guidelines from Davidson College, all camps offered in July 2020 will be a day camp only format and will follow all social distance guidelines and restrictions. These guidelines eliminate the ability the play larger competitive games (5v5, 9v9, 11v11) and in turn, we will provide skills training sessions in a safe, small group setting. As we continue to receive updates over the next couple months from the NC Department of Health and Human Services, a final decision on what can be safely performed as part of each camp structure will be updated accordingly. I realize these are difficult and unprecedented times. However, I feel we can provide a safe learning environment with the restrictions in place that will allow players to improve their skills and be stimulated both physically and mentally after a difficult period.
Prospect ID Clinics follow a one-day curriculum, designed by the Davidson College Women’s Soccer staff, that will expose players to the training methods and practices used by the Davidson Soccer staff. These Prospect ID Clinics are for competitive, ambitious club players that are considering playing college soccer at the NCAA D1, D2 or D3 level. The camp will be held at the Davidson College soccer facilities and will cover technical and tactical aspects of the game. Separate goalkeeper training is available and is directed by Davidson’s goalkeeper coach. Along with training at our top-notch facilities, players will have exposure to our coaching staff and the opportunity to interact and learn more about our program.
The Prospect ID Clinics are also for GK’s who have specific training to work on the technical and functional areas of goalkeeping, such as diving, positional play, dealing with crosses, distribution, and organization, but also allows the GK’s to participate in full sided games.
