Testimonials
Growing up I loved going to soccer practice. The overall environment of our sessions was ideal for players who wanted to improve their skills but also those who wanted to enjoy themselves. Sessions helped all of us and were taken seriously but also allowed room for us to enjoy and build lasting friendships along the way. I left every practice feeling like a better player and wanting to come back again because I genuinely enjoyed myself. The atmosphere created by Adam was what kept me coming back. Without the caliber of coaching I received in the few years leading up to my collegiate career, I'm not sure how may college career would have turned out. The instruction I obtained set me up both physically and mentally for the college game allowing me to have an overall successful collegiate experience. Hope Walker |
The Session at Charlotte Soccer Academy by Adam and his staff prepared me for college because we always referred to our practices like they were college practices. The coaches were amazing as they were always there to get you ready for the next level. We also had a talented group amongst the different age groups, which was cool because being a 15 year old you got to play against the 17's and no matter the outcome I got better. That also got me prepared for playing with older girls in college. When I reported for preseason I had high expectations for what practices were going to be like, but I found club practices had prepared my very well. I was prepared for all possibilities in the college game and the coaches were always there for us through my time with them. Morgan Mosack |
Adam Denton has been our daughter’s soccer coach at several club teams, the Olympic Development Program, Elite Clubs National League, and Davidson College throughout the past 12 years. During that time, Coach Adam has proven that he is not only extremely knowledgeable about the game of soccer teaching proper skill development, tactics and strategy but also that he understands the importance of stretching, nutrition, and mental and physical agility. Coach Adam is both caring and fiercely competitive, a balance that is quite unique in a coach. He stresses the importance of enhancing individual skills while still focusing on the importance of playing as a cohesive team. He is a master motivator that employs a disciplined approach to training and is dedicated to teaching players how to improve their individual skills thereby helping them build confidence and achieve their true potential. Coach Adam inspires players as he is a highly talented coach, wise career counselor and player advocate. His success is proven by the accomplishments of his past and present players. We would strongly encourage any college bound player interested in fine-tuning their technical skills and learning the complete game of soccer to attend an Elite Davidson Soccer Camp under his tutelage. Adam Denton teaches the fundamentals of shape at an early age better than anyone! A strong understanding of shape helps you become a player that can play any position on the field and understand your role. During my first year of College soccer, I had a visiting coach from Germany who said “I want to meet the person who taught you how to play soccer.” This was a testament to the style of play during my club years under the direction of Adam Denton. Adam gives the same level of dedication to his 8 year old rec player as he does for his elite college player. He wants each player to reach their maximum potential, regardless of skill. Adam makes the sport fun! He can balance hard work and skill development, and brings the perfect mix of humor and intensity to practices and games. Under Adam Denton's coaching I grew significantly as a player - my technique, my style/speed of play, my soccer IQ, and most importantly my confidence improved. Adam gave me the confidence I needed to transition from a good athlete to an elite, college-bound soccer player. Hannah Robinson Clare Robinson |
Adam has experience coaching young girls, college-bound players, and collegiate players as well as overseeing multiple teams at some of the biggest soccer clubs in North Carolina. Regardless of his position, he focuses on the technical and tactical aspects of the game in order to give his players the best opportunity to succeed later on in their soccer career. Having played at the professional level himself, he knows and actively demonstrates the skills that he wants his players to have. Because he is such a big fan of the game and watches high-level games in-person or on TV whenever he can, he is very tactically aware. There has never been a time when a player asked a question, that he did not have an answer. Vicky Bruce |
Adam is hands down one of the best coaches I've had the opportunity to have throughout my career. I've been through many different coaches and Adam has always emphasized the importance of one's technique and speed of play. He would go through each drill with us detailing the importance of a particular technique. Although his practices would be tough looking back they truly made me who i was as a player today. When college came around I would get flashbacks of Adam's attention to detail and would be conscious of them. My journey of soccer has ended but I looking back I have always said Adam is one of the best practice AND game coaches. Marissa Hartert |
My daughter attended several soccer camps instructed by Adam Denton. They were all professionally run and proved to be an excellent camp in helping develop both her technical and tactical skills.” These camps proved to be invaluable as it related to her college career. I would wholeheartedly recommend Adam Denton's soccer camps to any player who is interested in developing their skills and wanting to play at the next level. Jon Mertes |
Thank you for feedback on the field with me at your ID Camp. The college talk for all the players about the recruiting process at Davidson was very helpful. Davison always a top consideration for me especially because of you. I think you are great coach and you are going to do great things with the Davidson program. Hopefully I will see you on the field some time soon. Good luck with your upcoming season. |
My daughter loved the camp experience and learned a lot. It was very challenging for her and well organized. |
Kayla and Megan had a blast, Adam. Thanks very much! |
Thanks for an awesome week. Emma had a great time. |
Thank you very much for a fun and well organized camp. This year was the first year my daughter participated in the camp. She did have a great time and it was challenging for her. We thought this would be a great opportunity for her to get ready for competitive soccer that she will do for the first time in the fall. |
Leighton had a fabulous time at camp. She asked if she could stay all day. We will be back! |
